Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Web Hosting Agreement:
This is a legal and binding agreement between you, the Customer, and Techie Hosting Inc.  By using, installing or accessing the Techie Hosting Inc. website, the Services and certain Products that are offered, as our Customer you agree to all of the terms and conditions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy or any other Terms and Conditions posted on the Techie Hosting Inc. web site, all services will be discontinued, activation of the account will cease and your account terminated.  Under no circumstances will Techie Hosting Inc. aka Techie Media, be responsible in any capacity whether financially, or otherwise for any loss of customers revenue due to any network, technical, clerical, or any other reason whatsoever caused by Techie Hosting Inc or it's employees.

Interpretation:
The provisions of this Policy are intended as guidelines only. Any, conduct that violates law, regulation, or the accepted norms of the Internet community, whether or not expressly mentioned in this Policy, is prohibited. Techie Hosting Inc. reserves the right at all times to prohibit activities that damage its commercial reputation and goodwill.  Techie Hosting Inc. reserves the right to terminate any account that it deems to be in violation of any illegal activities, without notice.

Illegal Use:
Techie Hosting Inc. servers may be used only for lawful purposes. Transmission, distribution or storage
of any material in violation of any applicable law or regulation is prohibited. This includes, without limitation, child pornography, material protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property right used without proper authorization, and material that is obscene, defamatory, constitutes an illegal threat, or violates export control laws. We will be the sole arbiters as to what constitutes a violation of this provision.  To report a copyright infringement please click here. 

System and Network Security:
Violations of system or network security are prohibited, and may result in criminal and civil liability. Examples include, but are not limited to the following: unauthorized access, use, probing, or scanning of our systems security or authentication measures.  Interference with service to any user on our network is absolutely forbidden. Deliberate attempts to overload a system and broadcast attacks on any other website is considered a serious violation.

Malicious Conduct:
No one shall post defamatory, scandalous, or private information about any person without their written consent, intentionally inflicting emotional distress, or violating trademarks, copyrights, or other intellectual property rights.

Spamming:
Sending unsolicited mail messages, including, without limitation, commercial advertising and informational announcements, is expressly prohibited. No Techie Hosting Inc. customer shall initiate any type of mass emailing (spamming), from any of our servers or infrastructure.  This also includes using any domain hosted on Techie Hosting Inc.'s network as a "landing page" for any unsolicited emailings.  If you are caught participating in any such activity, you will be held liable for all damages.This may result in monetary damages of not less than $1,000.00 per incident and $500.00 per hour that your wrong doings cause any disruption to our network and it's normal operation.   This may also cause the immediate termination of your account, without notice.

Termination Policy:

Once Techie Hosting Inc. becomes aware of any alleged violation of its Acceptable Use Policy we will initiate an investigation. During the investigation we may restrict Customer 's access to their sites in order to prevent further possible unauthorized activity. Depending on the severity of the violation, we may, at our sole discretion, restrict, suspend, or terminate Customer's account and/or pursue other civil remedies. If such violation is a criminal offense, Techie Hosting Inc. will notify the appropriate law enforcement department of such violation.  Techie Hosting Inc. will not issue any monetary credit, nor be held liable for any lost revenue during any disruption of service resulting from any violation of our acceptable use policy.  Techie Hosting Inc. reserves the right to cancel any account for failure to be current on their bills for any services rendered.
